Hukum puasa ramadhan

"O you who believe, are required of you to fast as prescribed before the people before you to be cautious." (Surat Al Baqarah 2: 183)

The Law of Ramadan Fasting
Ramadan fasting is mandatory for every Muslim who baligh (adults), intelligent, in good health, and in a state of mukim (not doing safar / long journey). What indicates that Ramadan fasting is mandatory is the word of Allah Ta'ala,

يا أيها الذين آمنوا كتب عليكم الصيام كما كتب على الذين من قبلكم لعلكم تتقون
"O you who believe, are required of you to fast as prescribed before the people before you to be cautious." (Surat Al Baqarah 2: 183)
This can be seen also in the question of a Bedouin Arab to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. This Bedouin person came to see the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam in a tangled hair, then he said to him sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, "Tell me about the fast that Allah obliged me." Then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

شهر رمضان, إلا أن تطوع شيئا
"(Fasting is obligatory to you is) fasting Ramadan. If you want to fast the sunnah (then do). "(Narrated by Bukhari)
And the Muslims have also agreed on this obligatory fasting and already ma'lum minnad premier bidhoruroh ie someone will disbelieve if deny this obligation. Ramadan fasting is not fall for people who have burdened shari'ah unless there is' udzur (obstacle). Among the 'udzur so that the relief from religion is not to fast is a person who is traveling far (safar), being sick, the elderly (old age) and especially for women when in the state of menstruation, puerper, pregnant or breastfeeding (See Shohih Fiqh Sunnah, II / 89, 118-127)

Warning for People Who Accidentally Cancel Fasting
At this time we often see many among the Muslims who belittle this great obligation. If we look at the month of Ramadan in the streets or public places, many people who claim Muslims do not perform this obligation or deliberately cancel it. Instead they eat and drink in the midst of their fasting brothers without feeling guilty at all. Though they are the ones who are required to fast and have no obstacles at all. They are people who are not traveling far away, not lying in bed because of illness and not also people who are getting hindrances or puerperal barriers. They are all capable of fasting.
As a warning to my relatives who are still reluctant to endure hunger and thirst on the month required by their fast, we bring a story from the friend of Abu Umamah Al Bahili radhiyallahu 'anhu. He (Abu Umamah) said that he heard the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "When I slept, I was approached by two men, then both pulled my arm and took me to the steep mountain. Both said, "Rise up". Then I said, "I really can not." Then the two said, "We'll make it easier for you". So I climbed so that when I reached the darkness of the mountain, suddenly there was a very loud voice. Then I asked, "What's that sound?" They replied, "That is the cry of the inhabitants of hell."
Then I took me for a walk and I was with people who hung on large veins on their heels, their mouths were torn, and from that tear the blood was flowing. Then I (Abu Umamah) asked, "Who are they?" The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam replied, "They are the ones breaking fast (breaking the fast) before the time comes." (Narrated by An Nasa'i in Al Kubra, sanadnya saheeh See Shifat of the Prophet, p. 25).
See torture for anyone who breaks the fast intentionally in this hadith, then how else with people who are reluctant to fast since the beginning of Ramadan and never fast at all. Meditate on this, O my brother !!

Alhamdulillahilladzi bi ni'matihi tatimmush sholihaat, wa sallallahu 'ala nabiyyina Muhammad wa' ala senti wa shohbihi wa sallam.
