Hukum puasa ramadhan
"O you who believe, are required of you to fast as prescribed before the people before you to be cautious." (Surat Al Baqarah 2: 183) The Law of Ramadan Fasting Ramadan fasting is mandatory for every Muslim who baligh (adults), intelligent, in good health, and in a state of mukim (not doing safar / long journey). What indicates that Ramadan fasting is mandatory is the word of Allah Ta'ala, يا أيها الذين آمنوا كتب عليكم الصيام كما كتب على الذين من قبلكم لعلكم تتقون "O you who believe, are required of you to fast as prescribed before the people before you to be cautious." (Surat Al Baqarah 2: 183) This can be seen also in the question of a Bedouin Arab to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. This Bedouin person came to see the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam in a tangled hair, then he said to him sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, "Tell me about the fast that Allah obliged me."
